Who we are

This website is run by the Research and Development Department of AC Omonoia 29M and the Cultural Foundation 1948, Cyprus (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for any personal data collected through this site. You can reach us at research@o29m.com.

What we collect and why

When you contact us. If you use the contact form, we collect your first and last name, email address, organisation and role (if you give them) and your message. We use this only to reply to you and to discuss possible research collaboration. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

When you browse. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors. Like any website, our hosting server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) for security and to keep the site running. These logs are kept for a short period and then deleted.

Cookies and local storage

– Language preference. The site may set a small cookie to remember whether you are viewing it in Greek or English.
– Reading options. If you change the text size, dyslexia-friendly font, link underlining or dark mode, your choices are saved in your own browser’s local storage. They never leave your device, and you can clear them at any time with the “Reset” button or your browser settings.
– Site administrators who log in receive the standard WordPress login cookies. Ordinary visitors do not.

Third parties we use

– Formspark receives contact form submissions and forwards them to us by email.
– Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a contact form submission comes from a person and not a spam bot. It runs only on the contact page and may process technical data such as your IP address and browser
details. Cloudflare may process data outside the EU under appropriate safeguards, incluramework.
– Hostinger hosts this website.

Fonts and videos are served from our own server, so viewing a page does not send your data to font or video providers. Links to our social media pages take you to those platforms, which have their own privacy
policies.

How long we keep your data

We keep contact form messages for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any collaboration that follows, and for no longer than two years after our last contact with you, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

Sharing your data

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the service providers listed above, as needed to run the site, or where the law requires us to.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Cyprus Law 125(I)/2018, you have
– access the personal data we hold about you
– have it corrected or deleted
– restrict or object to how we process it
– receive it in a portable format
– withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before you withdrew

To use any of these rights, email research@o29m.com. If you are not satisfied with our rehe Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus (https://www.dataprotection.gov.cy).
